Prerequisites Completion of 40 credit points.
Teaching Organisation 12 weeks or equivalent. This unit is offered in mixed-mode where there will be 16 hours of direct contact during the two residential periods consisting of lectures and tutorials/workshops. In addition, there will be an online component which will be undertaken between the two residential periods. Students are expected to spend approximately 150 hours in total for a 10 credit point unit.
This unit will examine the principles of leadership and their application to leadership practices within the Indigenous context. It will challenge participants to reflect on leadership and management theories, strategies and practices and analyse them from an indigenous culture and lifestyle perspectives to identify their relevance to managing functions and organisations in the public and private sectors for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous organisations.
