MATH309 Networks, Applications and Project Management
10 cp Prerequisite: STAT201 Statistics and Probability Teaching Organisation:4 contact hours per week for twelve weeks or equivalent.
This unit provides an introduction to graph theory and its applications. The background of undirected graph theory and its role in several famous problems is discussed and applications in more serious cases such as network paths and spanning trees and their use. Directed graphs and their application in network flow problems, in project management and in the use of bipartite graphs will also be covered in this unit.
