10 cp Prerequisites EXSC199 Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity Teaching Organisation 150 hours of focused learning.
In this unit, students will investigate and understand the psychological make-up of individual elite athletes. The student will be able to recognise and analyse critical aspects of an elite athlete’s psychological profile and develop and apply psychological strategies to optimise performance. In addition, students will investigate and understand the psychology of competition for athletes and teams in the high performance environment at national and international level competition. Students will be able to integrate and apply their understanding of the psychological factors enhancing performance for elite athletes and their interaction into a successful and cohesive team environment.
