This unit is designed to prepare the students to teach commerce in secondary schools in Pakistan. It builds on the existing knowledge of theory and practices and relates them with the prevailing situation of the economical condition in Pakistan. This unit will focus on developing a practical understanding of pedagogical approaches appropriate to the teaching of commerce. The unit provides for the ongoing development of the students curriculum planning skills in the area of commerce teaching. It is also designed to develop in students an ability to critique a range of approaches to teaching and learning as well as resources available, including a critical evaluation of the text books used in Pakistans schools.
