Teaching Organisation 12 weeks or equivalent. This unit is offered in mixed-mode where there will be 16 hours of direct contact during the two residential periods consisting of lectures and tutorials/workshops. In addition, there will be an online component which will be undertaken between the two residential periods. Students are expected to spend approximately 150 hours in total for a 10 credit point unit.
This unit presents students with general theories and concepts of international business and trade, and familiarises them with the basic terminology, key concepts and issues unique to the subject. It will provide students with an opportunity to gain a global perspective on management and organisational behaviour by studying international trade, investments and business environments. The unit will also analyse those factors (internal and external to the organisation) that impact on Indigenous businesses that either hinder or enhance opportunities to compete within a global marketplace.
