This unit provides a broad and comprehensive appraisal of authorised deposit-taking institutions (ADIs), including banks, building societies and credit unions, and the associated decision-making processes of the financial services sector. The central issues of financial institutions management, namely decisions on asset and liability management and the determination of capital use, are examined. The regulatory environment is outlined.
