Personal financial services have been one of the dynamic growth sectors of the recent past. This subject introduces students to the role of the financial planner. They have the opportunity to develop skills in evaluating security investment opportunities, and assess the impact of personal taxation in shaping investment strategies. These factors, plus understanding of the impact of changing government policies and economic events, and the moral and ethical concerns within the financial planning industry, will affect overall personal financial planning strategies.
