Unit rationale, description and aim

This unit seeks to establish a scholarly environment wherein students, having explored the differing expressions of the Christian missionary endeavour throughout history, identify the constant factors within ever-changing contexts. Furthermore, this unit equips students to address the challenge facing the contemporary church: what does a missional church look like today? Students will propose considered strategies that a specific church might undertake as it seeks to be "faithful to the tradition", an authentic expression of "The Church Reaching Out."
