The contemporary workforce requires culturally competent graduates able to apply knowledge and skills derived from learning experiences that develop a deeper knowledge of the world and a heightened awareness of different peoples and cultures.

GLST303 requires students to extend the study undertaken in their Global Studies degree via either study at one of ACU’s international partner universities or an international unit/s approved by the National School of Arts (ACU) or other approved internationally–focused coursework. The aim of this unit is to foster a deeper knowledge of the world inside and outside Australia and make Global Studies graduates more employable in the global market place. In exceptional circumstances students may be allowed to undertake this unit in Australia via internationally–focussed coursework.
