EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:
- Completion of Higher School Certificate admission requires meeting the specified ATAR score
or - Appropriate experience working in community-based organisations which provide a service to people with a disability

2. Requirements for Completion of the Degree
2.1 To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 170 cp from Discipline Studies units;
- 30 cp from Professional Practice Specialisations;
- 20 cp from Elective units;
- 20 cp from the Core Curriculum Units.
2.2 A student who has completed the Associate Degree in Inclusive Education and Disability Studies may be granted advanced standing.
3. Additional Requirements
3.1 Requirements for working with children and vulnerable people: All students enrolled must obtain a national police check before they may enter a workplace.
3.2 Requirements for working with children: All students enrolled must have the appropriate approvals before they may enter a classroom. These are: Blue Card (Qld), Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) or Working with Children Check (NSW and Vic). International students must bring police check documentation from their own countries. Australian students who have lived in another country for 12 months or more must provide a police check from that country for that period.
4. Progression Requirements
It is recommended units are undertaken in the order they appear in the course map. However, students are permitted to select units from two levels but should not undertake advanced level units (300-level) until they have completed all introductory level units (100-level).
5.Exit Point
A student who has completed the requirements prescribed for the Associate Degree in Inclusive Education and Disability Studies may exit with that award.
