1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed a pre-service teacher education course and have demonstrated teaching experience.

2. Requirements for Completion
- For students who have completed a three-year pre-service teacher education Primary, Early Childhood or Secondary course:
80 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings comprising:
- 40 cp of recommended units from the Schedule of Unit Offerings
- 40 cp from Specialisation units (Early Childhood, Primary or Secondary), selected based upon entry qualification, or current teaching area.
- For students who have completed a two-year pre-service teacher education course:
120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings comprising
- 40 cp of recommended units from the Schedule of Unit Offerings
- 60 cp from Specialisation units (Early Childhood, Primary or Secondary), selected based upon entry qualification, or current teaching area
- 20 cp from other online undergraduate offerings in consultation with the course coordinator.
Students will be guided by the Course Coordinator on units suited to their specific requirements.
3. Progression within the course
In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the School Committee.

- Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts - (for secondary school teachers)
Primary and secondary students seeking to include accreditation to teach Religious Education in schools are advised to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Religious Education comprising the following four units: EDRE515 Religious Education: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives, EDRE516 Learning and Teaching for Religious Education, THBS501 Biblical Studies and THCT500 Foundations of Christian Faith units are the usual units required by Catholic Education Offices in Australia. Students may concurrently enroll in the Graduate Certificate in Religious Education.
- For Australian Indigenous students undertaking the course in mixed mode, the unit codes will begin with A instead of E as listed in the Schedule of Unit Offerings. Unit codes which begin with A are available only to Indigenous students.
- EDFX317 Professional Practice is available for those students who require an orientation into professional practice in a particular educational setting. It is not a requirement to complete the course.
