BIOL128 - The Human Body
Incompatibles BIOL121 Human Biological Science 1
It is important for every biomedical scientist to understand how the human body functions. In this unit, you will learn about the basic structure and functions of the main systems of the human body, and apply this knowledge to determine how they work together in a coordinated manner. Using human physiological processes as a basis, you will develop critical thinking skills that allow you to distinguish between science and pseudoscience. Successful acquisition of knowledge in this unit is required in order for you to proceed to units where higher levels of knowledge and understanding are required. The aim of this unit is to give an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the major systems of the human body, and to introduce you to the basic skills required by practicing biomedical scientists.
