ACCE600 - Accounting for Decision Making - Executive

Teaching Organisation the equivalent in intensive mode of 3 contact hours per week for 12 weeks.
This unit is taught in intensive mode where students and their lecturer meet over nominated weekends or during a full-time study week.
This unit takes as its theme the use of accounting information for decision making. Graduates will be members of organisations - businesses, government departments, universities, charities, religious organisations, sporting clubs, social clubs - which share a common problem: limited resources for pursuing organisational goals. As a consequence, managers are regularly confronted by the need to make important economic decisions.
Accounting information is usually a vital input to those decisions. Hence, as managers who will be involved in the decision-making process, graduates need to know how to use accounting information in making economic decisions. To make many decisions in an effective way, they need to understand accounting information.
