EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
International students need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:
New South Wales
- Prerequisites: English Standard, or English Advanced, or ESL (Band 4 for all), plus: at least one of Biology, or Chemistry or Physics (Band 2 for all)
Queensland
- Prerequisites: English (4, SA); plus one of biology, chemistry or physics (4, SA).
Victoria
- Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 - a study score of 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English, and a study score of 25 in one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
2. Completion Requirements
To qualify for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree, a student must complete 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 70 cp from Foundation Units;
- 20 cp from Inter-professional Units;
- 20 cp from University Core Curriculum Units;
- 210 cp from Physiotherapy Practice Units.
3. Admissions Requirements - Honours Degree
GPA of 5.75 on the ACU seven point scale or greater in the first 4 semesters of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Pass program.
Students will be ranked according to their GPA and the offer of a place in the Honours program and the number of places offered will be at the discretion of the School.
Students must pass all units in the Honours program on the first attempt. Failure to do so will result in students being transferred back to the pass program.
4. Completion Requirements - Honours Degree
To qualify for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Honours degree a student must complete 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 70 cp from Foundation units
- 10 cp from Inter-professional units
- 10 cp from University Core Curriculum units
- 150 cp from Physiotherapy Practice units
- 80 cp from Physiotherapy Honours units.
5. Progression Requirements
Students need to complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level), unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
5. Exit Points
A student who has successfully completed 240 cp from Specified units, including Core Curriculum units may exit from the course with following qualification:
