There are four sub-committees of Senate: Audit and Risk Committee, Standing and Finance Committee, Honorary Awards Committee and Nominations and Remuneration Committee.
The Academic Board is the senior academic governance committee of the University and has the principal responsibility to maintain the highest standards in teaching, scholarship and research and to safeguard the academic freedom of the University.
The University has four Chapters in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and ACT. These provide advice to the Senate on local needs and demands, and serve as important links to community interests.
