Students in Sydney undertake their Arts units at the Strathfield campus. Only the three nominated Majors for the Bachelor of Commerce are offered at the Strathfield campus.

EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:
New South Wales
- Prerequisites: English
- Assumed knowledge: For Mathematics major or minor: Mathematics (not Mathematics General 2).
- Recommended studies: For Visual Arts minor: Visual Arts.
Queensland
- Prerequisites: English (4, SA)
Victoria
- Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English.
- Assumed knowledge: For Mathematics major or minor: Satisfactory completion of Math Methods Unit 3 & 4.
Or be admitted under the Passion 4 Business Program.
International applicants need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
2. Definitions
Bachelor of Arts Major: 80 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level, at least 40 cp at 200 level and at least 20 cp from 300 level.
Bachelor of Arts Minor: 40 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 20 cp at advanced level.
Bachelor of Commerce Major: 80 cp in prescribed units in one discipline, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level, at least 40 cp at 200 level and at least 20 cp from 300 level.
3. Completion Requirements
To qualify for the Pass degree, a student must complete 320 cp, consisting of:
- 180 cp selected in accordance with the requirements of the Bachelor of Commerce degree consisting of:
- 60 cp from Bachelor of Commerce Core Units;
- 80 cp from a Bachelor of Commerce major in Accounting, Human Resource Management or Marketing; and
- 40 cp from a Bachelor of Commerce Minor in Accounting, Human Resource Management or Marketing;
OR - 40 cp Electives from the Schedule of Unit Offerings for the Bachelor of Commerce (subject to campus availability, unit limitations and provided that prerequisite and corequisite requirements are met).
- 120 cp selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree, consisting of:
- 80 cp from a Major other than a Business Studies Major;
- 40 cp from a Minor other than Business Studies or 40 cp electives from other units listed in the Bachelor of Arts Schedule of Unit Offerings1
- 20 cp University Core Curriculum Units.
4. Admission Requirements - Honours Degree
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible to apply for admission to the honours degree a student must satisfy the admission requirements set out in the rules for honours in the relevant single degree.
5. Completion Requirements
To qualify for the Honours degree a student must satisfy the requirements set out in the rules for Honours in the relevant single degree.
