EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:
Queensland
- Prerequisites: English (4, SA).
Victoria
- Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English.
2. Definitions
"Major": 80 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level, at least 40 cp at 200-level and at least 20 cp from 300-level.
"Minor": 40 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 20 cp at advanced level.
3. Requirements for Completion of the Pass Degree
3.1 To qualify for the pass degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
160 cp from:
- 2 Majors in Drama, Literature, Media (Melbourne only); Music and/or Visual Arts or
- 1 Major and 2 Minors in Communication (Brisbane only), Digital Journalism (Melbourne only), Drama, Graphic Design (Melbourne only), Literature, Media (Melbourne only); Music and/or Visual Arts;
- 20 cp from HUMA111 Arts Advantage and HUMA247 Community Engagement and the Civic Professional1;
- 30 cp from
- Capstone
- 10 cp from HUMA320 Major Creative Project; and
- 20 cp from Electives (or 30 cp from Electives if the Program Core unit forms part of a major or a minor)2
or
- Arts Scholars Program (by invitation only)
