1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:
Queensland
- Prerequisites: English (4, SA)
New South Wales
- Assumed knowledge: Mathematics (other than Mathematics General 2) for study in Mathematics.
- Recommended studies: Visual Arts for study in Visual Arts.
Victoria
- Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English. Units 3 and 4 - Mathematical Methods or equivalent for study in Mathematics.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Degrees
To qualify for the degrees, a student must complete 320 cp consisting of:
- 180 cp selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree, consisting of:
- 160 cp from
- 2 Arts Majors including two units at 300-level per major;
or - 1 Major including two units at 300-level and 2 Minors;
- 20 cp from HUMA111 Arts Advantage and HUMA247 Community Engagement and the Civic Professional1;
- 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 30 cp of Global Studies Specific Units;
- 10 cp of units from Global Studies List A;
- 10 cp of units from Global Studies List B;
- 10 cp of units from Global Studies List C;
- 40 cp from Global Study Abroad (with at least 30 cp normally at advanced level);
or Global Studies International Internship; - 20 cp from Global Studies Elective Units;
- 20 cp from University Core Curriculum Units.
3. Progression Requirements
Students normally complete 100-level units before undertaking related 200-level units, and 200-level units before undertaking related 300-level units.

Bachelor of Arts Sequences
Business Studies (Major)
Note: Students in Sydney undertake three of the four units in Years 1 and 2 of the course at the Strathfield campus and all units in Year 3 of the course at the North Sydney campus.
The major should normally include no more than 20 cp at 100-level and must include at least 20 cp at 300-level.
A Business Studies major may normally be made up of units from Accounting, Finance, Marketing or HR Management. It may also include BUSN304 Working with Diversity and Conflict but the unit may not be counted as an Accounting, Finance, Marketing or HR Management unit.
Particular combinations of units may be required for students in different states who wish to become teachers. Students are advised to consult their course coordinator for advice.
With permission from the course coordinator, and subject to availability, students in Victoria may include ECON units in their Business Studies major to meet initial teacher education requirements.
