Prior study regarded as a minor study will be equivalent to a total of half a year of successful full-time higher education study, usually comprising sequential discipline study taken over two years. In most programs, this equates to four units, with no more than two at first year level.
Unless defined elsewhere by state/territory registration authorities, the study required for ’double teaching areas’ will be regarded as the equivalent of the major and the minor combined. That is, the equivalent to at least a total of one and a quarter years of successful full-time higher education study, usually comprising sequential disciplinary study taken over three years. In most programs, this equates to ten units, with no more than four units at first year level and no fewer than two units at third year level.
