16.1 After approval of the thesis proposal, Doctoral and Master candidates will be expected to present at the annualwork-in-progress seminars in the School/Research Institute/Faculty. Such seminars need to be attended by the Principal and/or Co-Supervisor, the Head of School/Director of the Research Institute or nominee, one academic from the School/Institute able to make informed comment on the topic, and the Associate Dean Research or nominee. Where the candidate is also an ACU staff member the Associate Dean Research may vary the panel composition so as to minimise potential conflict of interest and ensure greater objectivity of the review process. The Associate Dean Research (or nominee) should act as Chair in these cases.
16.2 All Doctoral and Master’s candidates will participate actively in research seminars and training activities.
