EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:
- Bachelor degree in a discipline; or
- Bachelor degree in a different discipline and evidence of substantial industry experience; or
- Postgraduate award of at least four units; or
- In special circumstances, applicants who do not meet any of the above requirements but who have a sound and sufficient basis for application can apply directly to the Course Coordinator. Applicants must provide a portfolio demonstrating that their knowledge, experience, and skills are such that they are likely to succeed in the program.
2. Completion Requirements
2.1 To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 100 cp from the Informatics Core Units
- 40 cp from professional Pathway units (choose two (2) from two sets of pathway units)
- 20 cp Information Systems Project units
- 50 cp from Business Administration Core Units
- 30 cp of Elective Units from the Schecule of Unit Offerings in any FLB postgraduate award.
2.2 An applicant may be granted advanced standing towards the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology or Graduate Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent may be granted advanced standing.
2.3 Applicants who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration or Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent may be granted advanced standing.
