Minimum duration: 1 year to 1.5 years full-time or equivalent part-time.

EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed a pre-service course of teacher education of at least two years' duration and have demonstrated teaching experience.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Degree
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete the following:
1. For students who have completed a three-year pre-service course of teacher education
80 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of at least:
- 40 cp from Education Studies and Teaching/Curriculum Studies;
- 20 cp from Discipline Study Electives;
- 20 cp from any Education Units.
2. For students who have completed a two-year pre-service course of teacher education
120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of at least:
- 40 cp from Education Studies and Teaching/Curriculum Studies;
- 20 cp from Discipline Study Electives;
- 60 cp from any Education Units.
3. Progression within the Course
Students are advised to consult the Course Enrolment Guide and the Course Coordinator before selecting units.

Electives may be selected from discipline-related units in the Schedule of Unit Offerings for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
Units from other Education Courses
If available, units may be chosen from the following courses: Bachelor of Education (Primary) (units from the third and fourth years of the program only unless approved by the Course Coordinator), Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Certificate in Religious Education and Graduate Certificate in Catholic Studies. Other units may be selected with the approval of the Course Coordinator.
1 For Australian Indigenous students undertaking the course in mixed mode, the unit codes will begin with A instead of E as listed in the Schedule of Unit Offerings. Unit codes which begin with A are available only to Indigenous students.
