EFTSL value of units:All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules.
International applicants must also meet the English language proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission Rules.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:
- four year Bachelor degree in Education; or
- Bachelor degree in an area other than Education and a recognised teaching qualification; or
- Bachelor degree in an area other than Education and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies or equivalent.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Degree
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 20 cp from Core Units;
- at least 3 0 cp from Specialist Units;
- at least 10 cp from Research Units;1
- 20 cp from Capstone Project Unit;
- up to 40 cp from additional Electives.
3. Exit Point
A student who has completed the requirements prescribed for the Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership may exit from the course with that award.

1 Students undertaking the Capstone Research Project unit (EDRS600) should complete the prerequisites EDRS602 Evidence in Contemporary Education and EDRS603 Methods of Educational Research. Students undertaking the Capstone Applied Project in Educational Leadership (EDLE610) should complete the prerequisite EDRS604 Overview of Educational Research.
