ACU offers Commonwealth supported and fee-paying places.
The majority of postgraduate coursework programs are offered on a fee-paying basis (a small number of Commonwealth-supported places may be available in some postgraduate courses).

Commonwealth supported places
Students enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place are required by the Australian Government to pay student contributions towards the cost of their higher education.

Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF)
In 2014, the following categories of students will be liable for the SSAF:
- All Commonwealth supported students
- Fee-paying students enrolled in an award course

The SSAF is calculated on each half-year enrolment.
- All unit enrolments with a census date between 1 January and 30 June will be charged in Semester 1.
- All unit enrolments with census date between 1 July and 31 December will be charged in Semester 2.
- In the case of Master of Business Administration (Executive) enrolment, the SSAF will be charged in each study period.
