EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:
Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.
2. Definitions
Major: 80 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 60 cp at advanced level.
3. Completion Requirements
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 80 cp from a Youth Work major (including Program Core Unit YSED205 Ethical Principles and Practice of Youth Work);
- 80 cp from a Sociology major including all Core Units;
or
40 cp from Core Units in Sociology and 40 cp from Counselling Units, including all Core Units; - 20 cp from University Core Units;
- 10cp from Program Core Unit HIST106 Australian Indigenous Peoples - Past and Present;
- 30 cp from Practicum Units;
- 20 cp from Electives.
