1 Requirements for working with children: All students enrolled must have the appropriate approvals before they may enter a classroom. These are: Blue Card (Qld), Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) or Working with Children Check (NSW and Vic). International students must bring police check documentation from their own countries. Australian students who have lived in another country for 12 months or more must provide a police check from that country for that period.
2Students wanting to teach Religious Education are advised to consult with their Course Coordinator to ensure they enrol in the correct sequence of units.
340 cp are to be taken from Curriculum and Teaching Studies units which build on discipline sequences already taken and include two Curriculum and Teaching Studies units in each of two teaching subject areas.
To be eligible to enrol in a Curriculum and Teaching Studies sequence, a student must either have satisfactorily completed the prerequisite study prescribed for that Curriculum and Teaching Study or be able to demonstrate knowledge or skills, approved by the Course Coordinator, as equivalent. In the case of Religious Education, the designated Theological Studies units provide co-requisites.
