EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Admission Requirements

A student must also comply with the Admission Rules.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:

New South Wales
Prerequisites: English

Queensland
Prerequisites: English (4, SA)

Victoria
Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.

2. Definitions

"Major": In the case of a major in Accounting, Commercial Law or Management, 90 cp from prescribed units; in any other case, 80 cp from prescribed units.
"Combined Major"*: 130 cp from prescribed units.
*A Combined Major is available only in Accounting and Commercial Law.

3. Completion Requirements

To qualify for the pass degree, a student must complete 320 cp, consisting of:

  1. 130 cp from Bachelor of Business Administration Core Units from the Schedule of Offerings;
  2. 0 cp from BIPX100 Professional Experience A;
  3. 20 cp from University Core Units;
  4. 170 cp from:
    1. the Schedule of Unit Offerings of at least one, and at most two, of the following Majors or Combined Major from the BCom:
    2. Accounting: 80 cp, not including BAFN200 Principles of Finance;
    3. Accounting and Commercial Law: 120 cp, not including BAFN200 Principles of Finance;
    4. Business Information Systems: 80 cp;
    5. Commercial Law: 80 cp, not including BAFN200 Principles of Finance
    6. Financial Services: 70 cp, not including BAFN200 Principles of Finance
    7. Human Resource Management: 70 cp, not including HRMG204 Organisational Behaviour or HRMG303 Organisational Change;
    8. International Business: 80 cp;
    9. Management: 70 cp, not including HRMG204 Organisational Behaviour or BAFN200 Principles of Finance;
    10. Marketing: 80 cp;
    11. Occupational Health, Safety and Environment: 80 cp;
    12. Supply Chain Management: 70 cp, not including HRMG204 Organisational Behaviour

    and

  5. the balance of credit points are to come from other units listed in the Schedule of Unit Offerings for all Majors in the BCom.
