EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission Rules.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:
- Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline; or
- A Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (Health), or a Graduate Certificate in Health Administration, or equivalent award
and
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in management or leadership positions in healthcare organisations.
2. Completion Requirement
2.1 To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, unless granted advanced standing for up to a maximum of six units;
2.2 Applicants for the MBA (Health) who have completed the ACU Graduate Certificate in Health Administration and wish to transition to the Master of Business Administration (Health) must fulfil the requirement of three years in a management position, and may receive advanced standing for up to four units of the MBA (Health).
2.3 Applicants for the MBA (Health) who have completed the ACU Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Health) and wish to transition to the Master of Business Administration (Health) must fulfil the requirement of three years in a management position, and may receive advanced standing for up to six units of the MBA (Health).
2.4 Applicants for the MBA (Health) who have completed a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in a designated strand (Clinical Education or Clinical Practice) at ACU or another Australian University must fulfil the requirement of three years in a relevant management position, and may receive advanced standing for units completed elsewhere, up to a maximum of four units.
3. Exit Points
A student who has completed the requirements prescribed for the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (Health) or the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Health) may exit from the course with the relevant award.
