EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements1
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:

Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English, and a study score of at least 25 in one of biology, chemistry or physics.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Degree
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings
- 50 cp from Foundation units;
- 30 cp from Interprofessional units;
- 180 cp from Occupational Therapy units;
- 60 cp from Clinical Education Placements.
3. Admissions Requirements – Honours Degree
To be eligible to apply for admission to the honours program, a student must have completed 160 cp from years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy pass degree, with a grade point average of at least 5.5.
4. Requirements for Completion of the Honours Degree
To qualify for the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy honours degree a student must complete 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 50 cp from Foundation units;
- 30 cp from Interprofessional units;
- 150 cp from Occupational Therapy units;
- 45 cp from Clinical Education Placements;
- 45 cp from Honours units.
5. Progression within the Course
Students normally complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level) in that sequence.
In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the School Committee.
