1. Admission Requirements2
1.1 To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent.

Prerequisites: English (4, SA).
Victoria
Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.
1.2 To be eligible for admission to the Practice Leadership specialisation, an applicant must have completed the requirements set out in Rule 1.1 at a high level of academic achievement3, and demonstrate leadership capacity4. Students who fail to maintain participation in suitable leadership activities5 and a minimum GPA of 5.5 will be withdrawn from the specialisation Practice Leadership and transferred to the Bachelor of Nursing degree.
1.3 To be eligible for admission to the course offered in Hong Kong, an applicant must have:
- a pre-registration Nursing qualification (eg Diploma or higher); and
- a licence to practise as a Level 1/registered nurse in Hong Kong.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Pass Degree
2.1 To qualify for the Bachelor of Nursing pass degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 90 cp from Inter-professional Learning units;
- 60 cp from Nursing Theory units;
- 60 cp from Clinical Nursing Practice units;
- 10 cp from a Clinical Nursing Specialty Elective;
- 20 cp from Core Curriculum units.
2.2 Practice Leadership units must be taken and may only be taken by students undertaking the specialisation in Practice Leadership.
2.3 To qualify for the Bachelor of Nursing (Practice Leadership), a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings including the eight units designated as Practice Leadership (NRPL), consisting of:
- 90 cp from Inter-professional Learning units;
- 60 cp from Nursing Theory units, including 40 cp which are designated Practice Leadership;
- 60 cp from Clinical Nursing Practice units, including 40 cp which are designated Practice Leadership;
- 10cp from a Clinical Nursing Specialty Elective unit;
- 20cp from Core Curriculum units.
2.4 Mental Health units must be taken and may only be taken by students undertaking the specialisation in Mental Health.
2.5 A student undertaking the course in Hong Kong must complete 80 cp from units listed for Hong Kong in the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 70 cp from Core units; and
- 10 cp from Elective units.
3. Progression within the Course
Students normally complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level) in that sequence.
In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the School Committee.
