International Graduate Certificate in Education

EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Admission Requirements1

To gain entry to the Graduate Certificate a person must apply for admission and be offered a place in the course2. Candidates must:

  1. have completed:
    1. a Bachelor degree in Arts, Science or Commerce;
    2. the equivalent of 2 years of substantial study in the area in which students will undertake curricular and method studies;
    and
  2. demonstrate competence in English3, 4.

2. Requirements for Completion of the Graduate Certificate

To qualify for the Graduate Certificate, a student must complete 140 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 60 cp from Professional Studies;
  2. 60 cp from Curriculum Studies, including
    1. 20 cp from Core units; and
    2. 40 cp from Electives;
  3. 20 cp from Professional Practice.
