Hong Kong: In cooperation with Caritas Francis Hsu College, Centre for Advanced and Professional Studies (CFHC). The Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), delivered exclusively at CFHC, is a one year top-up program specifically designed for graduates of the Higher Diploma in Accounting Studies of CFHC or equivalent. EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements1
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:
New South Wales
Prerequisites: English.
Queensland
Prerequisites: English (4, SA).
Victoria
Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.
2. Definitions
“Major”: In the case of a major in Accounting or Commercial Law, 90 cp from prescribed units; in any other case, 80 cp from prescribed units.
"Combined Major"*: 130 cp from prescribed units.
*A combined major is available only in Accounting and Commercial Law.
3. Requirements for Completion of the Pass Degree
To qualify for the Pass degree, a student must complete:
- 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 110 cp from Core Units;
- 80 cp from one of the Majors2;
- the balance of the credit points from other units listed in the Schedule of Unit Offerings;
- BIPX100 Professional Experience A
4. Progression within the Course
In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee.
