EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Admission Requirements1

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:

Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.

2. Requirements for Completion of the Degree

To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 210 cp from core units including:
    1. 80 cp from International Development Studies units;
    2. 40 cp from Global Studies units;
    3. 40 cp from Management and Legal Studies units;
    4. 20 cp from University Core units; and
    5. 30 cp from Fieldwork unit;
  2. 30 cp from Electives.

3. Exit Point

3.1 The Associate Degree in International Development Studies is offered as an exit point from the Bachelor degree only.

3.2 A student who has completed the following requirements and 160 cp may exit from the course with the Associate Degree in International Development Studies:

  1. Up to 160 cp from core units including:
    1. at least 40 cp from International Development Studies units;
    2. 40 cp from Global Studies units;
    3. 30 cp from Management and Legal Studies units;
    4. 20 cp from University Core units; and
  2. up to 30 cp from Electives.
