EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Admission Requirements1

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:

Queensland
Prerequisites: English (4, SA).

Victoria
Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.

2. Definitions

“Major”: 80 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 60 cp at advanced level.

“Minor”: 40 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 20 cp at advanced level.

3. Requirements for Completion of the Pass Degree

3.1 To qualify for the pass degree, a student must complete:

  1. 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
    1. 160 cp from:
      1. 2 Majors in Drama, Literature, Media*; Music and/or Visual Arts or
      2. 1 Major and 2 Minors in Communication, Drama, Literature, Media*; Music and/or Visual Arts;
    2. at least 20 cp from Program Core units;2
    3. 20 cp from University Core units:
    4. up to 60 cp from Electives;3

    and

  2. ARTS232 Learning in the Community.4
