EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements1
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:
Queensland
Prerequisites: English (4, SA).
Victoria
Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 a study score of at least 25 in English (any).
2. Definitions
Major: 80 in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 60 cp at advanced level.
Minor: 40 cp from prescribed units in one discipline area, including at least 10 at introductory level and at least 20 cp at advanced level.
3. Requirements for Completion of the Degree
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 80 cp from a Counselling Major including 20 cp from Program Core units;
- 40 cp from specialised Counselling Units;
- 40 cp from a Psychology Minor or Community Services Minor;
- 40 cp from Clinical Fieldwork;
- 40 cp from Electives.
