EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements Honours Degree1
To be eligible to apply for admission to the honours degree course, a student must have completed the Bachelor of Arts pass degree, normally within the last five years, with at least the following, all in the discipline area of the honours course:
- a major or equivalent;
- Distinction in at least two units; and
- a Credit average.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Honours Degree
To qualify for the honours degree a student must, in addition to satisfying the requirements of the pass degree, complete 80 cp from the Schedule of Honours Units, consisting of:
- 20 cp at fourth year level, appropriate to the discipline of the Honours thesis;
- 10 cp in Research Methodology/Research Seminar; and
- 50 cp from the Thesis.
