EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements1
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites –
-
- a Bachelor degree with honours with substantial studies in a related field2;
- a Graduate Diploma in a related field;
- a four year Bachelor degree with substantial studies in a related field; or
- a Bachelor degree with substantial studies in the social sciences plus at least three years' relevant work experience;
and
- a satisfactory interview demonstrating suitability to undertake the course.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Degree
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of –
- 60 cp from Core units;
- 20 cp from Practicum units; and
- 40 cp from Research units.
3. Maximum Period of Candidature
The maximum period of candidature will be six years from commencement of enrolment.
4. Exit point
A student who has completed the requirements prescribed for the Graduate Diploma in Counselling (Child and Adolescent) may exit from the course with that award.
