Teaching Organisation 150 hours of focused learning.

This unit introduces students to the role of the paramedic in the emergency medical system. The unit explores the history of paramedicine and the development of myth, storytelling and knowledge within the paramedic profession, while contextualising the roles of paramedics within the health care team. In addition, the unit will introduce students to present and future professional evolution including health governance and expanded scope of practice.
