EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements1
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed at least a Diploma in Information Technology undertaken at an Australian Registered Training Organisation or equivalent.
A student who has completed any such Diploma in Information Technology or Advanced Diploma in Information Technology (or equivalent) will be granted advanced standing.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Pass Degree2
To qualify for the Pass degree, a student must complete:
- 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 70 cp from Core units;
- 80 cp from IT major;
- 40 cp from IT electives; and
- 50 cp from Electives;
- BIPX100 Professional Experience A.
3. Progression within the Course
In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Co-ordinator and bound by decisions of the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee.

Elective units may be taken from any other disciplines (subject to campus availability and unit limitations, and provided that prerequisite and co-requisite requirements are met).
IT Electives will normally be credited from the student’s prior Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Information Technology or related discipline.
1A student must also comply with the Admission Rules.
2A student who has completed an AQF equivalent Diploma in Information Technology will normally be granted 80 cp in electives, and a student who has completed an Advanced Diploma in InformationTechnology will normally be granted 40 cp in core and/or specialist units and 80 cp in electives.
