Graduate Diploma in Information Technology

Minimum duration: 1 year full-time or equivalent part-time.

EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Admission Requirements1

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed:

  1. a Bachelor degree with a major in a computing/Information technology discipline; or
  2. a Bachelor degree in any discipline and a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology or equivalent.

2. Requirements for Completion of the Graduate Diploma

To qualify for the Graduate Diploma, a student must complete 80 cp consisting of:

  1. 10 cp from MGMT638 Ethical Leadership in Organisations; and
  2. 70 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings for the Master of Information Technology including:
    1. at least 40 cp from Core units; and
    2. up to 30 cp from other units including at least 20 cp from ISYS units.

3. Exit Point

A student who has completed the requirements prescribed for the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology may exit from the course with that award.

4. Progression within the Course

In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee.
