EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Admission Requirements1

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:

  1.  
    1. a Bachelor degree with honours in accredited psychology course with minimum of IIB honours; or
    2. a Bachelor degree with accredited four year major study in psychology; or
  2.  
    1. a Bachelor degree with accredited three year major study in psychology and satisfactory completion of an additional year of accredited study in psychology, or equivalent; or
    2. qualifications and experience assessed as equivalent by the selection committee; and
  3. demonstrated suitability to undertake the course as evidenced by satisfactory:
    1. academic referee report;
    2. professional referee report; and
    3. for short-listed candidates, interview with the selection committee.

2. Requirements for Completion of the Degree

To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 160 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 50 cp from Core Units;
  2. 40 cp from Practicum Units;
  3. 40 cp from Thesis Units; and
  4. 30 cp from Specialisation Units appropriate to the relevant stream.

3. Maximum Period of Candidature

The maximum duration of candidature will be not more than five years part-time from the commencement of enrolment.
