EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Admission Requirements1

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have satisfied the following prerequisites –

  1. a Bachelor with substantial studies in an appropriate field2;

    or
  2.  
    1. an Advanced Diploma in an area relevant to welfare or community services;
    2. eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body;
    3. relevant work experience and at least two supporting professional references;
    4. a satisfactory interview demonstrating suitability to undertake the course.

2. Requirements for Completion of the Graduate Diploma

To qualify for the Graduate Diploma, a student must complete –

  1. 70 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings; and
  2. Supervised Practicum unit

3. Exit point

A student who has completed the following requirements may exit with the Graduate Certificate in Counselling –

  1. 40 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings;
