ARTS325 Professional Practice

Prerequisites 20 cp from 200-level units in Visual Arts and Design
Teaching Organisation Lectures, tutorials, excursions and fieldwork. A number of visits to arts-related professional organisations and other appropriate professional settings will be undertaken throughout the semester. Students will be required to keep a journal or diary documenting such visits that will form the basis of a report.
This unit will prepare students for professional practice as artists, graphic designers, art historians, art writers or other arts-related professionals. The emphasis of the unit is on the vocational and organisational aspects of practice and theory, understood in the context of research concerning best practice in the field.
