This professional experience in the primary teacher education program is to provide opportunities for preservice teachers to become immersed in the life of the school program through participation in a combination of full-day professional experiences and a short Block practicum. During this experience the preservice teacher will work initially with small groups, particularly in the areas of literacy and numeracy, thus integrating education and professional studies undertaken at the University, and the school-based professional learning experiences. This professional experience should develop and extend preservice teachers teaching, learning and management strategies.
