1. Admission Requirements1
1.1 To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent.

Queensland
Prerequisites: English (4, SA).
Victoria
Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English.
1.2 To be eligible for admission to the Practice Leadership specialisation, an applicant must have completed the requirements set out in Rule 1.1 at a high level of academic achievement2.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Pass Degree
2.1 To qualify for the Bachelor of Nursing pass degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 100 cp from Inter-professional Learning Units;
- 60 cp from Nursing Theory Units;
- 60 cp from Clinical Nursing Practice Units;
- 10 cp from a Clinical Nursing Specialty Elective;
- 10 cp from a Community Engagement Elective.
2.2 Practice Leadership units must be taken and may only be taken by students undertaking the specialisation in Practice Leadership.
3. Admission Requirements – Honours Degree1
To be eligible to apply for admission to the honours degree course, a student must have completed a Bachelor of Nursing pass degree and attained grades of distinction or above in at least half of the graded units:
- at second and third year levels of the undergraduate course; or
- in a postgraduate course.
4. Requirements for Completion of the Honours Degree
To qualify for the honours degree a student must, in addition to satisfying the requirements of the pass degree, complete 80 cp from the Schedule of Honours Units.
5. Progression within the Course
Students normally complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level) in that sequence.
In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the School Committee.
