EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Admission Requirements1
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:
- completion of year 12; or
- appropriate VET Certificate III or IV.
Australian Capital Territory
Recommended studies: English advanced and at least a major in mathematical applications with grades of C or higher.
New South Wales
Assumed knowledge: two units of English Band 4 and two units of Mathematics Band 4.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Associate Degree2
To qualify for the Associate Degree, a student must complete:
1. 160 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 70 cp from Education Studies;
- 40 cp from Curriculum Foundation Studies;
- 30 cp from Curriculum and Pedagogy;
- 20 cp from Electives consisting of either:
- 20 cp from Indigenous Studies; or
- 10 cp from Inclusion and Disability Studies; and
- 10 cp from Curriculum and Pedagogy;
and
2. 3 Professional Experience Units.
