Graduate Certificate in Mathematics

Minimum duration: 6 months full-time or equivalent part-time.

EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Admission Requirements1

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed a four year degree in education or a degree in an area other than education and a Graduate Diploma in Education or equivalent and at least one year’s experience teaching mathematics at secondary level.

2. Requirements for Completion of the Graduate Certificate

To qualify for the Graduate Certificate, a student must complete 40 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 30 cp from Core Units; and
  2. 10 cp from Electives.
