Minimum duration: 6 months full-time or equivalent part-time.

EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Admission Requirements1

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:

  1. Bachelor degree in any discipline;
  2. grade 8 voice, organ or theory of music – AMEB or Trinity College (London) or equivalent;
  3. an audition (live or recorded) or submission of a folio of compositions may be required for applicants who are graduates of other universities.

2. Requirements for Completion of the Graduate Certificate

To qualify for the Graduate Certificate, a student must complete 40 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 10 cp from Group A;
  2. 20 cp from Group C;
  3. 10 cp from Groups A or C.

With the approval of the Course Coordinator, a student may substitute another unit for 10 cp required from Group C.
