EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1. Definitions

“Major”: 60 cp in prescribed units in one discipline, including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 40 cp at advanced level.

“Minor”: 40 cp in prescribed units in one discipline, including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 20 cp at advanced level.

“Liberal Arts Major” and “Liberal Arts Minor”: an approved sequence of units selected in accordance with the rules for the Bachelor of Arts degree.33

2. Requirements for Completion of the Pass Degree

2.1 To qualify for the Pass degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings34, consisting of:

  1. 60 cp from a Major in one of the disciplines of Biblical Studies, Christian Thought or Christian Practice;
  2.  
    1. for a student who completes a Major in Biblical Studies
      1. 40 cp from a Minor in Christian Thought; and
      2. 40 cp from a Minor in Christian Practice, Philosophy or Study of Religions;

        or

    2. for a student who completes a Major in Christian Thought:
      1. 40 cp from a Minor in Biblical Studies; and
      2. 40 cp from a Minor in Christian Practice, Philosophy or Study of Religions;

        or

    3. for a student who completes a Major in Christian Practice:
      1. (a) 40 cp from a Minor in Biblical Studies; and
      2. (b) 40 cp from a Minor in Christian Thought;
  3.  
    1. (i) 80 cp from one Liberal Arts Major; or
    2. (ii) 40 cp from one Liberal Arts Minor; and
      40 cp from other units in the Schedule of Unit Offerings in the Bachelor of Arts;

      and

  4. 20 cp in Electives from other units in the Schedule of Unit Offerings.

3. Requirements for Completion of the Honours Degree

To qualify for the Honours degree a student must, in addition to satisfying the requirements of the Pass degree, complete 80 cp from the Schedule of Honours Units.
