1. Requirements for Completion of the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) Degree1
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete:
- 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 110 cp from Education Studies;
- 70 cp from Curriculum Foundation Studies;
- 80 cp from Curriculum and Pedagogy;
- 60 cp from Electives;
and
- Prescribed Professional Experience units.
2. Exit point
A student who has completed the following requirements may exit from the course with the Bachelor of Educational Studies:
- 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- at least 70 cp from Education Studies;
- at least 50 cp from Curriculum Foundation Studies;
- at least 50 cp from Curriculum and Pedagogy;
- up to 70 cp from Electives2;
and
- 1 Community Engagement unit.

1Requirements for working with children: All students enrolled must have the appropriate approvals before they may enter a classroom. These are: Blue Card (Queensland), Working with Children Background Check (ACT, Victoria, NSW). International students should check this with course coordinator and may need to bring documentation from their own countries.
2 Additional or alternative electives may be approved by the course co-ordinator.
3 For Indigenous students undertaking the course, the unit codes will begin with A or Q in place of the first letter of the unit codes listed in the Schedule of Unit Offerings. Unit codes beginning with A or Q are available only to Indigenous students.
4 Students not seeking to gain accreditation to teach Religious Education in Catholic Schools may take the following alternative units or other education units as approved by the Course Co-ordinator:
